Dental Staff

Dr. Jared Gustafson grew up in Arlington, MN and graduated from Sibley East High School in 2001. He attended Concordia College, Moorhead for his undergraduate education and graduated with degrees in Biology and Chemistry in 2005. After spending time in Africa teaching, Dr. Gustafson attended Dental school and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota in 2011. Dr. Gustafson has completed post-graduate education in numerous areas in the field of dentistry. He completed training in 2021 at Implant Pathway Educational Institution and has a passion in the field of implant surgeries of all types. He completed a Masters course in Advance Splint Therapy at the prestigious Pankey Institute specializing in the management and treatment of TMJ disorders and disorders pertaining to the alignment of teeth in relation to the jaw. In addition, he has completed numerous specialty courses at the Spear Institute including advanced treatment planning, management of worn teeth, advanced occlusion, airway dentistry, sleep and the Mandibular Advancement Device. He has also completed a course in Myofunctional Therapy and is scheduled for a course in advanced sleep medicine. Dr. Jared is active in Spear Education Study Club.Outside of work, Dr. Jared enjoys attending all of his children’s activities, hunting, the family cabin, fitness and nutrition.

I have been a Dental Assistant for 40 years. I have been with Gustafson Family & Implant Dentistry for 10+ years. I enjoy all aspects of Dentistry. Every day is a new adventure. Outside of the office, I enjoy family time and travel to a new place to go fishing!

I became a licensed dental assistant in 2014 after graduating from South Central College. In 2019, I was welcomed to the Gustafson Family and Implant Dentistry team. It brings me great joy to help a patient feel comfortable and confident at their dental appointments. In dental assisting there are so many ways to help a patient and I enjoy them all. Family is very important to me so when I am not in the office my days are spent with them doing the activities my kids enjoy doing.

Dentistry has changed so much over my 40+ years in the field. Technology and diagnostic advancements have kept my passion for helping my patients achieve their optimal dental health. Some of my greatest joys have been watching these patients reach those goals. In 2021, I became certified in Diode Laser Therapy to further help my patients. I have been blessed with working for Gustafson Family & Implant Dentistry for over 6 years. My husband and I live in the country with 10 acres. My hobbies include gardening, cooking, entertaining, and photography. In my spare time I love spending time with our 2 daughters and grandson.

Brittney grew up outside of Green Isle and received her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Argosy University in 2006. She joined Gustafson Family & Implant Dentistry in 2017. She loves to educate patients while providing gentle yet thorough dental hygiene appointments and focuses on prevention by helping patients make the best decision for their overall health. In 2021, she was certified to use a soft tissue diode laser through the Advanced Dental Hygiene program. Brittney is also a trained Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist and completed the MyoMentor program in 2023. She aims to help adults and children with dysfunctions related to the tongue, airway and breathing. Brittney lives on a farm outside of Henderson with her family. In her free time, she loves to read, craft, bake, spend time at the cabin in northern MN, and spend time with family and friends. 

I originally went to Vocational School for Dental Assisting and practiced in an office for 7 years. I then changed fields and went into retail for 14 years. Then after a long time of working at home I went back to dentistry here at Gustafson Family & Implant Dentistry. Wow! Has dentistry changed! Technology has improved and changed all aspects of dentistry, so much so that I am much more comfortable at the Front Desk. I did retire for one year! I missed the patients so much and all of the staff that I had to come back to my happy place. Outside of the office, I love to bake, and spend time with my grandchildren while we look for new adventures. We raise chickens for the eggs and have a huge garden. I love to can the vegetables we grow and find new recipes. My other part time job is remodeling old homes. We are now working on our 13th house in Arlington.  It is so rewarding to take a neglected property and make it new and functional again, kind of like dentistry when Dr. Jared does a full mouth construction.

I have worked in the field of Dentistry for 6 years as part of the Business Staff. I learn something new everyday as a Treatment Coordinator helping patients understand more about their treatment needs. I’m proud and honored to be a part of the Team at Gustafson Family & Implant Dentistry because we all care deeply about the experience each patient has at our practice. 

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and family camping, fishing, hiking, scuba diving, and vacations to new places. I also enjoy reading and learning new skills such as crocheting. 

I started working at Gustafson Family & Implant Dentistry in May of 2023. My passion is to give patients proper health care in a sterile and clean environment, and to make sure our patients feel our work is excellent. I really enjoy listening to patients and getting to know them. I enjoy creating new connections with different people every day. Something that puts a big smile on my face is hearing our patients and staff laugh. I have been attending Minnesota State University, Mankato since fall of 2022, striving to get my Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene, and eventually work my way into my Doctorates Degree. 

Outside of work and school I really enjoy raising ducks, it is extremely fun! I also enjoy hanging out with my family, going hunting, and going on new adventures. My two favorite places to me are in the sun up north on the lake and also in the sun down south by the beach.
